The prints are usally just off the printer, I like to keep a low inventory and many time will print to order so they are easier to paint and assemble if needed.
If the model seems to be have a tacky feel, please wash the model in tap water and dish soap. I use a tooth brush with soft bristles to gently wash the model with out damaging any of the small details. Then I will dry with paper towels.
Whether you're a professional or just starting out, you can use a variety of paints from your local hardware store to your hoppy shop paints. I have used just about all the different paints acrylics in air brushed to rattle cans and found all will work. It all comes down to the level of detail your aiming for. Your hobby shop or favorite website will have higher quality paints. Some of the Krylon paints can go on thick compared to Tamiya paints are thinner and wont mask details.
Some models like the cars can use a light sanding and of course a bath after sanding. Then a nice prime and paint and you should be set.
Please use care here, the model can be fragile / brittle. If your screwing or drilling you can use heat to soften the model.
If your model requires drilling please take it slow, I use a hobby hand drill and undersize the hole and work my way up to the desired size.
Note: Please reach out to me if you happen to break a part in assembly. You can super glue the resin I have had good luck the the gorilla gel super glue. Some epoxy's seem to also work well too.
This can occur and if so please run the model under hot tap water then it should become flexible, dry and clamp or secure in proper placement. I will let a model sit like this for 24 hours and also apply a few mins of UV light / Sunlight. If this in or seems unfixable please reach out to me.
Cars - On my rolling stock I have weighted the cars with metal strips that I epoxy them on the the bottom of the car. This can also prevent them from warping or flexing with loads on the cars. I do try to keep the loads as light as possible for couple reasons, keeping the weight low is better for center of gravity and flat car flexing.
I am passionate about this hobbie and try to produce some out of production or unique models. If you have any suggestions or requests please reach out. Im always looking for new ideas and items for my layout!
Thanks
Erik
